Band Leader, Dummer, Lead Vocals & Background Vocals

Steven "Sticks" Jenkins 

Band leader for Front & Center and a native of Newark/East Orange, New Jersey, he has been performing and touring all around the world since he began playing at the early age of ten years old. 

Steven is a graduate of Berklee College of Music. He majored in Performance/Music Education. He has toured with many artists and groups such as, Freddie Jackson, Curtis Mayfield, Kool & the Gang, Boyz ll Men, The Hypertension band, Star and Teau Johnson of August Rose.  “Sticks” has brought his talents to one of the top performance bands in the New England area, Front & Center.

Greg "Doc" Hanson

Greg grew up in Philadelphia and during his senior year in high school, he performed with a warm up band called The Mystics for a Stevie Wonder concert. He started piano lessons at age eleven and later briefly studied classical organ at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia. 

During his years of performing in the Philly, NJ and NY areas, he performed on shows with Kool & the Gang, The Five Stairsteps, O.C. Smith and George Benson. He also accompanied the late Charles Earland, an organist who also played sax, and the late Grover Washington Jr. on the Hammond B-3.

Sonny "Amazing" May  

From the age of sixteen, Sonny's musical journey has takenquite the course. From his early years playing and singing in church in his hometown of Boston, MA, to his extensive travel both statewide and abroad; Sonny has evolved into the consummate entertainer. As a vocalist he has fronted numerous local bands from the northeast, one of which was Tommy Boy artist, Planet Patrol. He was featured in such bands as Hawkeye, Star, Masterpiece, and most recently Baltimore-based band, Trylogy.

Marlowe “7” Simpson

Born into a musical family, Marlowe studied at the Community College of Baltimore for 2 years and learned to play seven instruments. He moved to New Jersey and has played with many of the local bands like the Heat, Anonymous and Epic Soul. 

Marlowe later formed his own band “Marlowe” and played all original music and with his band, opened up for major artists, E.U., Slave and Blue Magic. Now as a member of Front & Center,  he is a major force helping to elevate the band to the next level with his dynamic lead vocals and guitar solos.

Craig "C Dot" Dotson

Craig hails from Linden, NJ. As a self-taught guitarist, he has been playing since the late 1970s. Inspired by Jimi Hendrix and other guitar legends, he has an impressive collection of guitars as well. Craig also plays the piano, bass guitar and sings as well.  His musical genre is Funk, R&B, Jazz and Rock. 

He has been a part of several local bands throughout the years, notibly the band StarChild which was formed back in the late 70s and became Aurra.  He worked with the Dru Covington band, Skyline Show band,  Pressure Principal and  August Rose. Craig has also played with some well-known artists such as Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, Jean Chandler, Eddie Holman, and Victor Willis…lead singer of the Village People. Craig has worked with the Mt. Teman AME church band for over 25 years.
